The money questions, answered.

Does Tabs take a cut of my patient payments?
No. Nothing. Card payments settle into your own bank account and our share of them is zero — the subscription on this page is our entire income from you. The only other cost is Paystack's processing fee, explained in the last question below.
What counts as a practitioner?
Someone who sees patients and needs their own diary. Receptionists, practice managers, billing staff and bookkeepers do not count — add as many of them as you need at no extra cost.
Is there a setup or training fee?
No. Getting set up and getting your team going are part of the subscription. If you want us to help import your patient list, we will do that with you.
What happens if I stop paying?
Your records do not disappear and nothing is deleted. New bookings and new patients are blocked until the subscription is settled, while your diary, clinical notes, invoices and reports stay fully readable and exportable. Losing access to patient history over an invoice would be unacceptable, so we designed it not to happen.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. Month to month. Cancel whenever you like and you keep working until the end of the period you have already paid for.
What does the free trial include?
14 days of the whole product, without entering a card. Sign up and start straight away, or book a demo and we will set your practice up with you. We will email you before it ends. If you decide against it, nothing happens — no automatic charge.
Do prices include VAT?
Prices are shown excluding VAT, which is added on your invoice at the standard South African rate.
What if I grow past my plan?
Move up when you add the practitioner who needs a diary. Past ten, book a demo and we will work out pricing — larger groups usually want a conversation about branches and reporting anyway.
What happens to the real patient data I load during the trial?
It stays yours and it stays private, whether or not you subscribe. If you decide against Tabs, tell us and we will export everything you entered and then delete your practice from the system. Nothing is repurposed, and nothing of yours is ever sent to an AI provider or used to train a model.
What does taking a card payment actually cost me?
Paystack charges a percentage of each transaction under their published South African rates, deducted before the money reaches your account — exactly as a card machine would. It is a contract between your practice and Paystack, so you can confirm the current rate with them directly. Tabs adds nothing on top.
